Artist's Statement

As an artist I see the whole world going through transformation and this transformation is a birth of truth. I see this in films, books and thinking. I even find it in overheard conversations. The artist has led the way - whether visual or performing - going into places where others fear to tread. This planet is on the threshold of discovering the real truth that has been hidden for thousands of years. We are all creative beings being led by a force we can no longer ignore. It pours forth from a source that will no longer be denied. Artists have risked profession and sometimes, life to bring change....and this change is now.  The artist thinks outside the box and is ridiculed for being different. But it is that difference that has moved us all forward. Our interconnectedness shall move us forward into realms yet unknown. The artist sees with the eye of wonder, hope and  communication. The artist must assure that, most of all, the soul comes to the knowledge and wisdom that leads to a greater understanding of that spirit within ourselves and others.

I want to dedicate this site to my Dad, a photographer who once told me: Don't let anyone or anything take your spirit from you....if they do you might as well be dead. Keep that spirit of creativity burning within and you will always be happy. To my mom, an artist who put that first crayon and paint brush in my hand and said.... be different!

I want to thank my dear artist friend Linda for being there and encouraging me along the path as only another artist can. To Mary for the homespun wisdom giving the inspiration to move on. For Annie whose joy and fun ever moves me forward. Last but certainly not least, my love Bruce, who always believed in me and set  me free to be myself.

They must find it difficult....

those who have taken authority as truth

rather than truth as authority.
